I love the olympics. Summer and winter. On Sunday I watched sculling and trap shooting (shotgun). While we can argue the level of fitness required for shooting versus rowing, both sets of winning atheletes have to have fantastic focus through every minute of the event. I love watching that!

Hearing the crowd chant "U-S-A, U-S-A, U-S-A, U-S-A..." During the women's 8+ race as they won the gold gave me chills!

Highlights from day 1 of Rowing finals here: http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/share.html?videoid=0816_SD_ROB_RC_CE228
In this video the commentator mentions that Michelle Guerette has the lung capacity comparable to Lance Armstrong. She wins the silver in the Women's 1x.
Upon winning Gold in the Men's 4- Great Brittain's Andrew Hodge says:
"I've never been in so much pain in my entire life."
That's what it takes to win Olympic gold. Pain = Gold ;-) Remember that for your next race.
